Job description

An Artisan has expertise on products and processes at a minimum of two retail stations at an Eataly. An Artisan shares knowledge about products and ingredients with guests and recommends products and portion sizes. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

  • Assists the retail counters with daily operations as needed to ensure counters are running smoothly
  • Ensures retail supplies are in stock and being utilized properly at all stations
  • Stocks counter and display refrigerators neatly accurately and in a timely manner
  • Slices weighs labels displays sells and packages products per department standards and guest specifications
  • Manages transfers between departments to ensure accurate inventory levels and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
  • Provides a steady presence on the floor constantly interacting with guests employees vendors and visitors
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications :

  • 2 years of experience in food service
  • Knowledge of steps of service
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Italian products

    • Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours including standing walking bending and squatting
