Position Summary
Clearpath Counseling and Consulting, LLC is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our dynamic clinical team. The Mental Health Technician will assist licensed clinicians in delivering high-quality mental health services by providing direct client support, monitoring, and administrative assistance. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and professional environment for clients receiving care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily activities and support therapeutic interventions under the supervision of licensed professionals.
Observe, document, and report changes in client behavior, mood, and physical condition.
Support group therapy sessions, psychoeducation activities, and skill-building exercises.
Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by monitoring environments and following established safety protocols.
Help clients manage coping strategies and reinforce treatment goals set by therapists or psychiatrists.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and ongoing training sessions.
Uphold client confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
Qualifications
Required :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working or volunteering in a behavioral health, residential, or healthcare setting.
Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful or crisis situations.
Basic computer proficiency (EHR or documentation systems experience preferred).
Preferred :
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
Current CPR / First Aid certification.
Experience in outpatient mental health, inpatient psychiatric, or substance use treatment settings.
