Lead Process Engineer- KeyXD (Experience & Design Team)

Job Summary

As a Lead Process Engineer within KeyBank's newly formed Experience & Design Team (KeyXD), you'll be at the forefront of transforming how we deliver exceptional client and employee experiences. Reporting into the CX Centricity & Process Design team, this role is a strategic enabler of KeyBank's vision to become a design-forward, experience-led organization.

You'll partner with cross-functional teams and business lines to evaluate and optimize processes, technologies, and organizational structures. Your work will directly support KeyXD's mission to embed client-centricity, streamline operations, and ensure continuous delivery across engagements. Using tools like process mapping, mining, and simulation, you'll lead initiatives that improve resiliency, reduce risk, and drive measurable impact.

This role is ideal for a seasoned process engineer with strong analytical, facilitation, and project management skills—someone who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about shaping the future of banking through design thinking and operational excellence.

Essential Functions

• Applies process development and engineering to create strategic, client- and employee-focused solutions.
• Leads projects focused on core business processes to deliver results aligned with strategic objectives.
• Evaluates and implements technologies and processes that drive efficiency and consistency.
• Creates and maintains documentation for evaluating existing processes and designing recommendations.
• Uses tools such as process mapping or mining to assess process capability and communicate findings.
• Leverages technical documentation and project artifacts to improve monitoring, resiliency, and availability.
• Collaborates across teams to foster openness and inclusiveness in delivering results.
• Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and / or activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
• Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Key has implemented a role-based Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces, dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces, while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment. As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties.

Compensation and Benefits

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
