Facilitates and / or performs the duties of the second RN during Labor and Deliveries in the Family Birth Center, as necessary.Performs direct patient care within scope of RN practice act and according to organization policies and procedures, when needed, in the Nursing Departments.Ensures that nursing practice is safe, effective, efficient, equitable, timely, and person-centered.Incorporates evidence into nursing practice to improve outcomes.Documents nursing care in a timely manner, including pre- and post- assessment of patient's response to interventions.Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of errors.Demonstrates knowledge level necessary to assess patient's psychosocial, educational, and physical needs, and the knowledge and skill to address these needs in an age-appropriate manner for all age groups.Responds quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.Qualifications
Required
Active RN license, verified by NCSBN's Nursys, authorizing practice in the state of Washington.Associates or higher degree in Nursing or related healthcare discipline.Minimum 5 years inpatient / Acute nursing experience.BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified through the AHA within thirty days of hire and maintained while employed.TNCC certified through ENA within 6 months.NRP certification within 6 months.Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Incident Management System (NIMS) on-line courses 100, 200, and 700 within thirty days of hire.Experience using Electronic Health Care Record for patient documentation and Provider EMR support.Preferred
Bachelors degree in Nursing.Prior leadership or charge nurse experience.Recent critical care or emergency nursing experience.Specialty nursing certification (CCRN, CEN, CMSRN, AORN, etc.).Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position is primarily worked in a clinical and office environment. This may include irregular working hours including weekends and on-call responsibilities. Travel to off-site locations for meetings, education and training may be required. The position will frequently require walking, lifting, reaching carrying, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling of objects weighing up to 20lbs. The position will occasionally require the ability to lift, and carry, up to 50 pounds and push or pull over 50 pounds, as well as require bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, reaching overhead, sitting and standing frequently. Occasionally the position requires climbing, kneeling and crawling. The position requires continuous finger dexterity and fine manipulation. All basic life functions such as hearing, seeing, speaking, standing and walking are required.

Pay Range : $41.00 - $71.00
Compensation : New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range; actual pay offered will vary based on years of experience.
