Foot Locker is seeking motivated interns to join our Supply Chain Transportation team in Junction City, Kansas. The Supply Chain team is a high functioning team with expertise in inventory management, logistics, and cross functional partnerships that ensures the right products reach the right places at the right time, driving customer satisfaction and business growth. The SC Transportation Internship will provide interns with the opportunity to partner with leadership to help manage and streamline the day-to-day operations of the Foot Locker Supply Chain. Interns will gain hands-on experience addressing both business and customer needs while honing essential skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication.
Responsibilities :
- Working out of Foot Locker's Junction City, KS Distribution Center.
- Working closely with team members and leaders to develop an understanding of how Foot Locker's Supply Chain operates.
- Supporting the execution of daily operations by learning different roles and responsibilities within the supply chain.
- Learning how to problem solve, lead and motivate a team, conduct real-time observations, and drive results.
- Taking initiative to seeking out opportunities for growth and development; continuously learn throughout the internship experience.
- Demonstrating a willingness to take risks; step out of your comfort zone and take on new assignments.
- Fostering an inclusive, diverse, safe, and secure culture.
- Gaining an understanding of all business areas to develop business acumen.
- Working with supply chain leaders each day to set goals and expectations.
- Maintaining a high standard of quality / accuracy through standardization of processes while also ensuring employee accountability.
- Tracking various KPI's to identify gaps, and drive actions in order to maintain consistent performance.
- Providing new ideas and recommending solutions for business or team opportunities.
- Data entry, reporting, and conducting business analysis.
- Working with various supply chain systems.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Undergraduate (Rising Junior or Rising Senior) or graduate business student pursuing a Supply Chain, Logistics or similarly related field.Solid analytical skills and self-motivated.Effective communication skills for all levels of the organization.Ability to work cross-functionally.Willingness to learn with hands-on experience.Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools : Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Benefits :
