Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Cloud API Platform Engineer to lead the setup and ongoing management of Apigee X, Google's SaaS API platform, within our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience deploying Apigee X using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), expertise in automation of API proxy development / deployment / proxy-code promotion and deep familiarity with GCP networking and security components.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, deploy, and manage Apigee X environments using Terraform and GCP best practices.
• Integrate Apigee X with GCP load balancers, Managed Instance Groups (MIG), and Private Service Connect (PSC) for secure and scalable northbound proxying.
• Configure and maintain southbound connectivity from Apigee X to secure web proxies within GCP.
• Develop and maintain API proxies in Apigee X, applying appropriate policies for security, traffic management, and transformation.
• Build and optimize automated CI / CD pipelines for proxy build, deployment, and promotion across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, and developers to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance API delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on Apigee X and GCP integration topics.

• Establish robust logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions for the API platform, ensuring platform health, performance, and compliance with operational standards (with help of SPLUNK, Dynatrace, GCP Cloud logging / monitoring)
