Definition : Under general supervision from the Director supervises manages administers plans implements and evaluates a comprehensive After School Program for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. This position is treated as FLSA Exempt position.

Examples of Tasks
1. Manages and supervises the day to day operation of the Early Enrichment and After School Program activities. Maintains communications and reporting between all staff members on all shifts as well as other departments involved in the ongoing operation of the program.
2. Provides adequate supervision and prepares evaluations for staff members including educational needs and professional development. Assesses staffing and scheduling practices for efficiency and maintaining program needs. Assists with planning and teaching staff development and employee orientation programs as needed.
3. Conducts staff meetings Initiates program staff participation in all trainings. Ensures any issues complaints are promptly handled. Ensures physical environment is monitored for safety cleanliness and attractive appearance.
4. Assists in the preparation of yearly budget recommendations for funding and ensures expenditures are handled in accordance with established SRPMIC practices and that expenses are monitored within budgetary limitations.
5. Provides oversight of the plans and activities of the Early Enrichment and After School Program; engages members to inform and advise on youth programs and services; fosters collaboration between parents youth and staff.
6. Incorporate activities programs that appeal to supports and attracts community youth. Establish support for existing programs and identify areas where new programs may be needed.
7. Oversee and coordinate various youth volunteer activities outreach and special events
8. Coordinate the development of materials such as news releases flyers pamphlets and brochures to market and promote program events and activities.
9. Attends meetings educational workshops and training sessions as well as assists with other departmental functions as required.
10. Works with Community members Community programs and services to establish partnerships for serving youth; participates in local work groups established to support and promote programs and services for youth.
11. Maintains communication with the Social Services and Behavioral Health Division to ensure adequate referral of services for youth and family assistance. Provide assistance as needed to referral source to ensure follow up support satisfaction and retention.
12. Evaluates achievement of program goals and objectives at regular times with the participation of staff. Ensures that Quality Assurance activities are implemented as planned and are followed with appropriate problem solving and / or actions.
13. Establishes and maintains an environment that encourages teamwork interdependence and ethical behavior.
14. Ensures that staff is informed of events happenings incidents and that written reports are submitted as required. Serves on an on call basis and provides coverage for other staff when necessary.
15. Performs other job-related duties as assigned to maintain and enhance departmental and program operation.
