Job Summary

The Fresno VA Healthcare System currently has a shortage of medical supply technicians. The Contractor shall furnish all key personnel to provide sterile processing service necessary to perform onsite for reuseable medical devices (RMD) in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and community living centers to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers to determine experiencing with their equipment
• include inventory control
• preparing and sterilizing equipment
• responding to supply requests
• maintaining documentation and cleanliness
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize reusable medical instruments and equipment using various methods, including manual and mechanical processes, to prevent infection

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is often the minimum requirement, sometimes supplemented by health-related coursework
• 2 years of experience
• Strong communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
