United Trades of America is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic for projects in Decatur, AL . We are looking for a professional with a solid background in installing, maintaining, and repairing sheet metal components, especially for HVAC systems. The pay rate is competitive, based on experience, ranging from $20 to $30 per hour .

Key Responsibilities :

• Safety Compliance : Follow all safety guidelines and wear protective equipment to prevent injuries from sharp metal, machinery, or other hazards.
• Reading Drawings : Interpret and understand drawings, sketches, and building plans to determine material requirements and installation processes.
• Measuring & Cutting : Use tools to measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal for accurate fit and installation.
• Fastening & Sealing : Fasten sheet metal pieces using duct seal, bolting sections with collars or flanges for secure connections.
• Maintenance & Repair : Perform repairs or replacements on damaged metal sections, ensuring systems function properly.
• Equipment Maintenance : Regularly inspect and maintain equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other construction professionals such as electricians, plumbers, and general contractors to coordinate project execution.
