MK Magnetics (www.mkmagnetics.com) specializes in the production of custom and standard tape wound soft magnetic cores for transformers and inductors. All the cores we sell are manufactured on site in Adelanto, California in a modern 75,000 sqft facility specially designed and built for manufacturing tape wound magnetic cores.

Working in accordance with the established policies and procedures, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with the maintenance and repair of the plant, equipment and for the fabrication of equipment required for the production of tape wound magnetic cores.
Responsibilities :
- Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly; building systems operate efficiently; and physical condition of building does not deteriorate.
- Repairs and replaces broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
- Assembles, installs, and / or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Inspects electrical system, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Observes and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions.
- Disassembles machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Examines parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Operates newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Inspects drives, motors, and belts, checks fluid levels, replace filters, and performs other maintenance actions, following checklist.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.
- Provides emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
- Diagnoses problems to locate the cause of a breakdown.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Shop Foreman or Management.
Qualifications :
High school diploma and minimum three years of production maintenance experience.Experience in Hazards and safety precautions of the maintenance worker’s trade.Use of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems principles and process.Problem solving; able to identify root cause of symptomatic problems.Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what type of maintenance is neededKnowledgeable in chemical handling and safety precautions.Able to work from ladders, forklift cage, and roofs to install, maintain or repair equipment or fixtures.Ability to read, interpret, and create drawings, blueprints and schematics.Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.Able to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance.MK Magnetics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
