Air Shop Supervisor
The Air Shop Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating activities, training and legal documentation of people and equipment engaged in the Transportation and delivery of products in a cost-effective safe manner. Manages and coordinates operational activities of delivery equipment and personnel. Ensures that needs are met by preparing driver routes, factoring in operational capacities, customer urgency, and available resources. Establish and oversee productivity, service and safety targets for route and driver. Is also responsible for providing support to the Operations Manager. This position will also be responsible for Supervising Shop Techs on the following major job functions which include Work on all rental equipment (clean / inspect / repair) and provide support on all trailers (Decon & T / A).
Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinate this schedule with Operations, Procurement, and sales to best satisfy customer's needs. Set and monitor productivity, service, and safety targets for each route and driver. Oversee the routing of delivery trucks using the computerized system. Assigns all drivers and driver helpers to each route each day. Updates, review and sets delivery routes throughout the day using driver tracking software.
- Coach, train and develop employees in a manner consistent with company policies. Act as a champion of our values, demonstrating them and holding your team to the same high standards and holding them accountable. Including scheduling and planning training.
- Assist in the investigation and report all MV incidents and accidents involving drivers.
- Reporting any and all safety and nonconformance matters. Creates and maintains a safety culture; safety first ensuring Shop Techs follow safety rules and recommendations
- Coordinating the oversight of diagnosing and repairing of all equipment
- Overseeing job orders are pulled correctly. Ensuring all jobs coming in and going out are accurate
- Delegating the cleaning and maintenance all trailers (Decon, T / A, Ect.)
- Follow all Company Standard Operating Procedures (S. O. P.)
- Must also be open to learn and assist the Operations Manager with other operational duties.

3-5 years of related work experience such as having working knowledge of the activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.Three to Five years' Transportation supervisory experience.Knowledge of logistics, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulationsAvailability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and on-callAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other people.Training / background in problem solving and conflict resolution.Requires a current state driver's license. CDL License preferredAbility to regularly operate a motor vehicle and ability to operate material handling equipmentKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, including experience setting up spreadsheets.Outstanding customer service skills.
