Job Title : Associate Attorney

Full-time position, in-office expectation in our Damariscotta or Bath office

Position Overview :

Levesque Law is seeking a versatile Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will handle a range oftransactional and litigation legal matters, provide counsel and representation of clients acrossvarious practice areas (e.g., corporate law, real estate, litigation, estate planning, probate). This rolerequires strategic thinking, adaptability, strong legal acumen, and the ability to manage multiplecases efficiently. Minimum five years' experience preferred.

Qualifications :

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Maine.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple litigation cases, transactional matters and deadlines with precision and efficiency.
  • Commitment to firm values, ethical legal practice, and client confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide legal advice and representation across various practice areas.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Conduct due diligence, risk assessments, and legal analysis on business and real estate transactions.
  • Proficiently manage cases from initiation to close.
  • Maintain client relationships and ensure clear communication regarding case developments.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations.
  • Stay informed of evolving laws, regulatory changes and legal precedents impacting the firm's practice areas.
