RECREATION THERAPIST (CERT)

Responsibilities

Wekiva Springs center, a Psychiatric Hospital located in Jacksonville Florida, has an immediate opening for a PRN Recreational Therapist. The recreation therapist plans and conducts varied group and individual recreation therapy for all patients and conducts assessments on patients. Additionally, the recreation therapist mentors RTA staff, reports any problems in regards to performance to the director and oversees weekend and evening recreation.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification or has a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Art Therapy, Music Therapy or a related field. CPR Certification is required. Certified Yoga instructors are encouraged to apply.
