Key Responsibilities
Hire, supervise, and evaluate assigned direct reports.
Conduct regular 1‑on‑1 meetings and performance reviews.
Develop annual departmental and individual Plans of Action aligned with company strategic goals and profit objectives.
Create and implement training programs for department personnel.
Foster effective communication between supervisors, coworkers, and direct reports.
Provide project management, strategic planning, and implementation support for key organizational initiatives and special projects.
Oversee the strategic planning and execution of multiple projects and teams.
Lead the project management department, ensuring alignment with company standards and goals.
Supervise Senior Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery from concept to completion (scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction).
Ensure accountability for established milestones and deliverables.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations.
Participate in bidding and negotiation processes to support contract procurement.
Monitor and understand financial performance, including profitability, cash flow, and capital structure.
Assist in the preparation of annual operating and fixed asset budgets.
Oversee departmental consistency for wages, change orders, labor rates, and cost tracking.
Keep Penta system category codes current as wages change.
Attend key company meetings (Hand‑off, Pre‑Planning, PEP, 3M, etc.) to identify opportunities for process improvement (“mining for gold”).
Lead weekly Senior PM huddles to review progress and address company updates.
Uphold company policies, procedures, and values.
Actively participate in oversight committees and company training programs.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Embed and promote the company’s Mission, Purpose, and Core Values.
Qualifications
5+ years of commercial metal framing and drywall construction experience in Project Management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related operating software.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
In‑depth understanding of construction industry products and trades.
Proven experience performing all essential functions of a Senior Project Manager.
Background in construction estimating is highly preferred.
Familiarity with E&K scopes of work and project management systems a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large‑scale projects and project teams simultaneously.
Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship‑building skills.
