You will also review progress, adapt treatments, and provide support and education to family members and caregivers. Administrative responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and writing reports. You may collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and assist with discharge planning by recommending home exercise programs and assistive equipment.
Required qualifications include a current Occupational Therapist license, strong communication and assessment skills, and experience in developing and implementing treatment plans. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is beneficial. Experience in skilled nursing settings is preferred.
