Job Title: Telehandler Operator

Shift: 1st shift 7:00AM-4:00PM Mon-Fri

Pay: $18-$20/hr (pay raise when brought direct)

Location: Downtown Jacksonville (32206)

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will operate a Genie Boom Lift or telehandler to manage rebar and rigging tasks. You will be responsible for tying rebar and assembling it into bundles for transport using the boom lift. This role requires you to start immediately and work efficiently in a manufacturing or rebar environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Genie Boom Lift or telehandler for material handling tasks.
• Tie and rig rebar into bundles for transportation.
• Work efficiently in a manufacturing or rebar environment.
• Utilize overhead crane and reach truck operations.
• Perform tasks related to welding, grinding, bending conduit, and deburring.

Essential Skills

• Experience with labor, production, and material handling.
• Ability to operate boom truck and Genie equipment.
• Proficiency in welding and grinding.
• Experience in overhead crane operations and rigging.
• Skill in using a tape measure for precise measurements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or rebar environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a hot and dirty environment.
• Familiarity with bending conduit and machine operation.
• Competency in deburring tasks.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial environment downtown at a rebar manufacturer. The work environment is hot and dirty, requiring jeans, steel-toed boots, and a t-shirt in the shop, while business casual attire is appropriate for the office. Safety glasses are mandatory in safety-sensitive areas, and the team is small, with only one person at the front desk along with the Operations Manager.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
