Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Pediatric Dentistry, is seeking an experienced and skilled Scientist I to join their team.
General Responsibilities
To employ a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization.
To plan, coordinate and conduct research.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates, and conducts scientific research requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard scientific techniques.
Writes grant applications, carries projects to completion and supervises / trains employees and students.
Designs, performs and / or oversees experiments and data collection to ensure data integrity, quality control and protocol compliance.
Collects, analyzes and interprets data; prepares statistical and narrative reports and / or graphs.
Supervises and / or performs equipment maintenance, operations and quality control procedures.
Performs and / or oversees new research procedures.
Serves as principal investigator on sub-projects of complexities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary Range : $63,125
Qualifications
Qualifications
Doctor of Philosophy, D.V.M. or M.D. degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience OR M.D. and Master's degree. OR Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
