We are currently seeking a compassionate, dependable Nurse Aide (PRN) to join our care team in Mendenhall, MS.\n\nJob Title : Nurse Aide\n\nLocation : Simpson General Hospital Mendenhall, MS\n\nStatus : PRN (As Needed)\n\nReports To : RN Supervisor / Director of Nursing\n\nPosition Summary : \n\nThe Nurse Aide assists patients with daily living activities and provides support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role plays a vital part in delivering direct patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring the dignity and comfort of those we serve.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n
- Assist patients with bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, ambulating, and feeding\n
- Support patient admissions / discharges, including belongings inventory and audits\n
- Monitor and report vital signs, intake / output, and patient conditions\n
- Provide one-on-one patient interaction and support therapeutic activities\n
- Assist with mealtime preparation, tray delivery / pickup, and feeding if needed\n
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments (make beds, empty bedpans, etc.)\n
- Turn, reposition, and provide toileting needs for bedbound patients\n
- Support patient transportation to tests, therapy, and physician visits\n
- Observe / report pressure areas or changes in physical / emotional status\n
- Maintain accurate documentation and attend required training sessions\n
- Comply with infection control procedures and use PPE as directed\n
- Perform other duties as assigned\n\nQualifications : \n
- Education : High School Diploma or GED (Required); Associate degree (Preferred)\n
- Experience : 1 year of Med / Surg care experience strongly preferred\n\nRequired SkillsTraits : \n
