Job Title : Illustrator / Graphic Designer for Real Estate Investment Book

Location : Remote (virtual collaboration)

Type : Freelance / Contract

An author is seeking a skilled illustrator / designer to assist with creating professional, clear, and engaging illustrations for an upcoming book on real estate investment. The book will feature concepts that require strong visual explanations — such as deal structures, financial flows, investment strategies, and property analysis. The right designer will translate complex ideas into visuals that are both easy to understand and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will only be required to assist with illustrations (+ / - 50 illustrations), there will be no need for layouts etc.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the author to understand investment concepts and determine the best way to represent them visually.
  • Design diagrams, charts, infographics, and conceptual illustrations that enhance the reader’s comprehension.
  • Create a consistent visual style and format across all illustrations.
  • Revise artwork based on feedback to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Deliver illustrations in high-resolution, print-ready formats (and digital versions, if required).

Requirements

  • Proven experience in illustration or graphic design, with a portfolio demonstrating ability to simplify complex concepts visually.
  • Strong skills in creating infographics, diagrams, and professional layouts.
  • Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or equivalent).
  • Ability to balance clarity, accuracy, and design aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with finance, business, or real estate concepts is an advantage (but not mandatory).
  • Previous experience with book illustrations (to provide examples of previous work).
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience illustrating for nonfiction or educational books.
  • Knowledge of book publishing design standards (sizing, resolution, typography integration).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • What We Offer

  • A creative partnership with the author on a high-value book project.
  • Flexible schedule with agreed-upon milestones and deadlines.
  • Compensation based on scope of work and deliverables (to be discussed).
  • How to Apply

  • A short introduction about your background and approach to design.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant work (especially infographics, book diagrams, or conceptual illustrations).
  • Your rates and availability.
