Purpose of Job Position : Plans, coordinates, supervises and implements nursing services for assigned residents as part of the gerontological interdisciplinary team. Supervises and implements care for assigned residents.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Work at least 40 hours per pay period, with 24 hours on the floor in various shifts based on scheduling needs and 16 hours in the office assisting the Director of Nursing (DON).Take on-call responsibilities for the DON one weekend per month and fill in as needed for the DON.Assist and provide instruction to new nursing staff to facilitate the successful completion of orientation skills.Collaborate with the DON in Infection Prevention and Control efforts.Assist with CNA care audits as needed.Notify the wing nurse, or DON of potential quality issues and / or staff performance problems.Be an integral team member, assisting with problem-solving and the implementation of new programming.Seek out new methods or offer suggestions for improving care delivery.Work closely and respectfully with all interdisciplinary team members to meet the residents' needs.Work with CNA staff to ensure proper completion of the MDS data sheets and other CNA documentation, including Care Tracker.Assist in gathering staff input for new policies, procedures, equipment, or other decisions that will affect the staff work environment.Maintain the CNA care plan signature log and facilitate end-of-month follow-up to ensure all CNA care plans are signed.Monitor and adjust work assignments as needed to ensure that residents receive extraordinary care.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
