Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Room using critical thinking, independent judgment, and the full nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation). Supervise and direct patient care teams, collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Duties include documenting patient conditions and responses, conducting assessments, developing care plans, educating patients / families, and using EMR (Cerner). Nurses are expected to participate in performance improvement activities, comply with infection prevention standards, and follow ANA Code of Ethics and Michigan nursing laws.
