Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Rugby, ND 58368 – Experience small-town North Dakota healthcare jobs in a friendly, picturesque setting. Facility Setting : Acute Care – Med / Surg Unit (10 private rooms) Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (Start : 11 / 2 / 2025, End : 2 / 1 / 2026) Schedule : 36 hours / week (3 x 12-hour rotating day / night shifts) Weekend & Holiday : Every other weekend and rotating holidays required EMR : Epic charting system Dress Code : Any color or pattern scrubs (not provided) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1950 - $2090 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota or compact state At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience BLS certification required ACLS and NIH Stroke Education preferred IV therapy experience required Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips (Phillips monitors) Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical and post-surgical conditions (including pneumonia, rehabilitation, UTI, pain management, fractures, dementia, falls, and more) Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1 : 6 or fewer Administer medications, IVs, and titrate drips as needed (basic knowledge required; Cardizem most common) Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Assist in the Emergency Room as backup if EMS is out on a call (rare but preferred) Conduct patient assessments, documentation, and education Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as part of the nursing team Complete a comprehensive 12-hour orientation shift with a preceptor Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this rewarding Med / Surg RN job in North Dakota!
