American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down Telemetry position requiring a MO or compact RN license, with advanced skills in drips and vents.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital Step Down Unit settingPatient ratio is 1 : 4Responsibilities include titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, insulin drips, trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubesExperience with ventilators, titration of pressors, and insulin drips requiredUtilizes Epic EMR; Epic experience requiredDay shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7 : 00-19 : 30)Every other weekend required, with specific days based on shift and unit rotationFloat to lower acuity floors within hospital as neededNo on-call requiredRTO restricted to 7 days within a 13-week contract; no RTO first weekPosition does not accept local candidates within a 75-mile radiusMain duties include caring for moderately complex stepdown acuity patients and managing cardiac drips, vents, and advanced monitoring equipmentDress code requires navy scrubsFree parking provided on siteOrientation modules must be completed prior to startTravelers may float within service line or to affiliate hospitals as neededHoliday coverage follows unit rotation policiesAll travelers must reside outside of a 75-mile radiusTravelers may complete contracts up to 18 months at this health system, with a mandatory 3-month break between assignments\n \n Requirements\n
