Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

Healthcare Setting : Trauma Surgical Unit (acute care trauma, ortho, urology)

Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Start Date : December 8, 2025

End Date : March 7, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shifts : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00-19 : 00), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours per week)

Guaranteed Hours : 36

Parking : Available

Dress Code : Solid Navy Scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses)

Associate degree in nursing required

Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification

Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year in Med / Surg Tele specialty)

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Med / Surg Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care to trauma, orthopedic, and urology patients in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary healthcare environment

Maintain a 1 : 6 nurse-to-patient ratio for individualized care

Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists to ensure comprehensive clinical support

Float to other units and hospitals within the healthcare system as required

Work every other weekend and holidays as needed

Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR
