Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - Family Practice in California

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 1, 2025. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with no late or four-day shifts. This role is ideal for a dedicated clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn and adapt within a community-focused setting. Job Details Location : California Start Date : Dec 1, 2025 LOA : 120 days Provider Type Needed : Family Practice Physician Assistant Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm Responsibilities and Duties Maintain a steady pace and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt Provide comprehensive care to patients in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) setting Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation (experience highly preferred) Communicate with patients using Spanish or language line services, if applicable Show commitment and engagement as an integral member of the clinical team Additional Information Minimum 3 years out of residency required Prior FQHC experience preferred Cerner experience and / or Spanish language skills highly preferred; use of a language line is a significant plus Must hold valid California license Required certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Board certification in Family Medicine and Pediatrics required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
