Lead Software Engineer for AI Solutions

We are on the lookout for a Lead Software Engineer for AI Solutions to become an essential part of our team. In this role, you will take charge of designing, refining, and evaluating strategies to enhance the performance of Large Language Models (LLMs) aimed at solving real-world business challenges. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, software engineers, and product managers, to build and maintain cutting-edge AI agents and LLM-enabled applications.

The ideal candidate has a strong history of developing and deploying AI systems in production, solid professional software development skills in a strongly typed language (like Go or TypeScript), and a deep understanding of LLM techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), few-shot prompting, and evaluations.

What You'll Do

• Develop and refine effective prompts for various AI use cases (e.g., data analysis, report generation, survey development, synthetic data generation).
• Rapidly iterate on prompt design and development strategies to enhance model performance, accuracy, and efficiency while reducing latency.
• Collaborate with the AI Native team to experiment with and deploy state-of-the-art LLM-enabled systems.
• Contribute to production code and actively participate in code reviews.
• Implement features like RAG, few-shot prompting, and domain-specific fine-tuning.
• Develop and execute evaluation plans to assess the performance of LLMs.
• Gather user feedback, interpret results, and iteratively improve model outputs and user experiences.
• Work with product managers and stakeholders to translate customer use cases into LLM-enabled solutions.
• Coordinate with fellow developers to seamlessly integrate AI models into applications and services, often owning the implementation end-to-end.

The expected salary range for this position is $146,300 - $243,400, with a midpoint of $194,900.
