Job description

Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity Findlay, OH Responsibilities :

  • Manage Level IIB Special Care Nursery
  • Emergency Department consults, limited outpatient medical consults
  • Newborn care, attendance at high-risk deliveries, inpatient pediatric care
  • Average of 1,000 deliveries / year
  • Manage infants born at 32 weeks and above, CPAP, Surfactant, and ventilator care
  • Average daily census of 12 (2 pediatric inpatients, 8 well newborns, and 4 special care)
  • Six, 24-hour shifts, 6 per 28-day block
  • Hospitalist service admits patients
  • Nationwide Childrens Hospital collaborative partnership
  • Access to pediatric specialists, pediatric research, and clinical trials in NW Ohio
  • Physicians receive advanced education, training, and direct consultation with Nationwide Childrens specialists
