San Diego Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists is seeking a dynamic and energetic Otolaryngologist to join our rapidly growing and busy practice located in Carlsbad, California.
Our team includes board-certified and fellowship-trained physicians, an audiologist, and highly skilled clinical and administrative staff—all committed to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding customer service.
The ideal candidate will be clinically focused, dedicated to excellent patient outcomes, and comfortable managing the full spectrum of otolaryngologic conditions. Applicants must have completed an accredited residency in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery and be eligible for an unrestricted California medical license. Subspecialties are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and appropriate documentation of clinical care.
- Code and bill accurately in accordance with established protocols.
- Educate patients, families, and others to improve understanding of diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Train and support clinical staff in areas of expertise.
- Consider health care access, fiscal responsibility, efficacy, and quality when making clinical decisions.
- Advocate for a culture of patient safety and uphold patients’ rights.
- Maintain confidential, HIPAA-compliant medical records.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
Diagnose and treat ear, nose, throat, and head & neck disorders.Perform head and neck surgery, including pre- and post-operative care.Order, interpret, and utilize diagnostic tests to develop comprehensive plans of care.Apply advanced specialty knowledge to ensure appropriate, effective, timely, and cost-efficient treatment.Select, analyze, and interpret clinical data to develop individualized, age-appropriate care plans aligned with professionally recognized standards.Additional Expectations
Ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a patient-care team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interactions with patients, families, referring providers, and staff.Demonstrate sound judgment and maintain composure in challenging or emergent situations.Proficiency with electronic medical records.Skilled in developing and maintaining quality assurance practices.Commitment to ongoing education and staying current with specialty trends.Participate in networking with referring providers and external partners.Qualifications
Completed accredited residency in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery.Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Otolaryngology preferred.Current, unrestricted California medical license (or ability to obtain).Subspecialty training is welcome but not required.Job Types
