Accounts Payable Specialist
National Corporate Housing looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This person will perform various accounting and accounts payable duties as listed below. The selected person needs to have a professional image, strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities :
- Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Acts as liaison between corporate and field; including researching issues prior to payment
- Codes invoices in accounting system working with markets where additional information is required
- Answers all vendor and market inquiries
- Maintains and compiles all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and files
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required
- Assists in monthly closings by posting all invoices received by last day of month
- Prepares analysis of accounts to assist vendors in reconciling our records and theirs, as required
- Identify and correct potential opportunities to minimize expenses
- Distributes signed checks; Assembles and processes overnight shipments to branches and vendors
- Resolve collection notices
- Follow up with various properties on outstanding Security Deposits
- Imaging
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Two to three years or more related experience and / or trainingProficiency in Excel is requiredIndividual should demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work and excellent attention to detailMust be able to prioritize and plan work activities and uses time efficientlyCan adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected eventsResponds to requests for service and assistance and meets commitmentsAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerAble to gather and analyze information skillfullyCan manage difficult client / customer situations, excellent customer service skillsResponds promptly to customer and employee needsMeets productivity standards and completes work in a timely mannerConsistently at work on time, follows instructions, and responds to management directionAP Certification or Associates Degree is a plusPrior hospitality sector experience a plusAll employees are expected to have knowledge of National’s business units and established procedures and compliance rules pertinent to their positions.
