Job descriptionConduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans Perform wound care procedures such as debridement, advanced dressing applications, negative pressure wound therapy, and MIST therapy Document all care accurately and completely in the electronic medical record system in accordance with Medicare and company requirements Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound care management, prevention, and follow-up care Collaborate with physicians, facility staff, and care teams to ensure coordinated patient care Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, including Medicare documentation and billing standards Participate in periodic training, audits, and quality assurance reviews Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Illinois Wound Care Certification required Independent work with support from clinical and administrative teams Flexible, mobile care model visiting patient homes, assisted living, and residential care settings Part-time role with potential to increase hours based on provider fit and interest Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. We are seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois, starting Nov 10, 2025. This part-time mobile role offers flexible day shifts, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for schedule customization and potential growth to full time based on provider interest.
