Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, And Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO)
We are a leading federal construction contractor delivering mission-critical projects for the U.S. military and other federal agencies. We are seeking a multi-talented construction leader to serve as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) on select projects.
Duties And Responsibilities :
- Direct day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, as-built drawings, and project documentation.
- Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans.
- Perform inspections, testing, and documentation to verify compliance with specifications, codes, and contract requirements.
- Lead three-phase inspection processes (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up).
- Address non-conformance issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Implement and maintain the Site Safety & Health Plan in accordance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and project requirements.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Monitor compliance with PPE use, hazard controls, and safe work practices.
Qualifications :
5+ years' experience in construction supervision for federal projects (NAVFAC, USACE, or similar).Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA 29 CFR 1926, and federal QC standards.Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.OSHA 30 and current First Aid / CPR / AED certifications.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to CONUS project sites.Willing to travel as needed to support project sites and locations.Preferred :
USACE / NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification.Past experience serving in combined Superintendent / QC / SSHO roles.Experience working on USAF Construction Contracts as a Prime ContractorExperience working on Nellis AFB and Creech AFBBachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.Experience with RMS 3.0, eCMS or similar QC documentation systems.DAWSON is an Equal Opportunity / VEVRAA federal contractor.
