Maintenance Technician

Reports To : Warehouse Manager / Maintenance Manager

Location : Covington, GA

Schedule : Monday to Thursday 5 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM; overtime on Fridays as needed

Job Type : Full-Time (Non-Exempt)

Pay Range : $30.00+ / hr. (commensurate with experience); paid weekly (on Thursdays)

Position Summary :

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal production performance. This position supports a colored pigment manufacturing and distribution facility where uptime, safety, and quality standards are essential.

Key Responsibilities :

• ? Be Familiar with the DPP Health and Safety Manual.
• ? Wear PPE according to the DPP Health and Safety Manual.
• ? Follow all DPP Safety Procedures.
• ? Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment, including mixers, blenders, conveyors, dust collectors, and packaging machinery.
• ? Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, ensuring timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
• ? Assist in equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades for improved efficiency and safety.
• ? Maintain and repair facility infrastructure such as lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and basic building systems.
• ? Document maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repairs in maintenance logs.
• ? Monitor spare parts inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
• ? Support continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
• ? Ensure all maintenance work complies with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
• ? Collaborate with production staff to resolve equipment-related issues and recommend solutions to prevent recurring problems.
• ? Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns during assigned shifts.
• ? Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills :

Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand / walk for extended periods, and work in hot, cold, or dusty environments while wearing required PPE.
