Overview

Our Ideal candidate is a highly-skilled, detail-oriented person who excels at multitasking. This person will act as a point of contact between the different parts of the organization and external parties involved in the financial reporting process (legal, tax, auditors, etc.). This role may handle or assist in a range of tasks including technical accounting, preparing SEC filings, preparing and reviewing internal management reports, budgeting / forecasting, audits and compliance. For this role, one must be analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy. We are looking for a highly motivated, eager-to-learn individual who can help streamline and improve our processes as we grow and scale.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Assist in preparation and review of reporting documents in accordance with GAAP, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings, and internal monthly reports
• Prepare footnote support schedules, tie-out support for reports and complete and review of disclosure checklists
• Assist with research and preparation of technical accounting memos
• Collaborate with the general accounting team to complete month-end close and prepare corporate financial reports for internal analysis and external publication
• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with regulations
• Work closely with external auditors to manage the financial quarterly review and annual audit process
• Provide financial analysis including explanations of variances between actual and budget / prior period
• Ensure internal controls over financial reporting, including disclosure controls and procedures, are adequate and operating effectively
• Participate in monthly / quarterly financial close review meetings to ensure appropriate accounting of transactions and accurate external reporting
• Participate in evaluation and implementation of new FASB accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests, as needed

Compensation

$120-130K plus bonus potential. Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant licenses or certifications.
