Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (Upstate New York healthcare job)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (travel nurse contract)

Start Date : July 7, 2025

End Date : October 6, 2025

Shift : Night – 3x12 hour shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2080 - $2220

Unit : Emergency Department (21 monitored beds, 5 psych safe rooms, 3+ hall beds)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state (required for New York nursing jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (ER RN experience)

BLS and ACLS certifications (required for ER nursing jobs)

Strong professional communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills

Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced emergency department settings preferred

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care and clinical support to patients and families in the Emergency Department

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, case managers, social workers, and crisis evaluators

Collect and accurately document patient observations and clinical data

Coordinate patient movement and staff assignments, including charge nurse duties as needed

Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all patients, including those with behavioral health needs

Demonstrate strong time management and prioritization skills in a busy ED setting
