Certified RN Anesthetist

Responsible for administering anesthesia, monitoring patients’ vital signs, and overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia. Assist with anesthesia-related medical and emergency situations such as airway maintenance and pulmonary ventilation. Required to comply with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state, and local laws as well as all KRMC policies and Medical Staff rules and regulations.

• CRNAs shall maintain excellence in airway management and shall be familiar with the usage of all airway adjuncts. i.e., Glidescope, fiberoptic scope, ILMA, etc.
• CRNAs shall work within their scope of delineated clinical privileges and within the State of Nebraska’s scope of practice. They must also maintain all required continuing education credits, credentialing, ACLS, professional licensure, insurance payer enrollment, and completion of all required employer / hospital training (Computer Based Learning) on time.

CRNA’s must also participate in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation.

CRNA’s will execute the patient-specific plan for anesthesia care including :

Implements, monitors and adjusts patient’s physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patient’s needs.

Transfers the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safety.
