The successful candidate will have two years or more experience working with New Jersey Long Term Care (Nursing Home) Medicaid. Must have experience with New Jersey Medicaid rules of eligibility. Must be able to perform financial assessments of residents, meet with residents and families to explain Medicaid. The Medicaid Liaison must be organized and able to work independently.
The Medicaid Liaison must :
Have expertise and experience with NJ LTC Medicaid Eligibility, NJ Board of Social Services and the OCCO Office.
Demonstrate knowledge of New Jersey Medicaid rules and regulations.
Perform financial assessment of all residents to determine if Medicaid assistance is needed.
Take a hands on approach to educating residents and authorized representatives of eligibility requirements while timely assisting to obtain and review documents for LTC Medicaid eligibility.
Will frequently communicate with county Board of Social Services and OCCO Office as well as any other State Agency to ensure timely processing of cases.
File for and attends state hearings and appeal adverse actions when necessary
Have 2+ years LTC NJ Medicaid experience
