Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a community-focused environment while supporting a team of dedicated medical professionals.
Job Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists.
- Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists.
- Manage 24 / 7 on-call coverage round and go model with call from home.
- Perform circumcisions as part of Pediatric practice.
- Offer expert Pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department, ensuring timely assessments and recommendations for pediatric patients.
- Collaborate closely with a team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists to provide coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research projects to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Engage in knowledge exchange with a large network of Pediatrix providers.
Qualifications :
Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIREDActive Ohio license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIREDPrevious employment experience in leadership roles - PREFERREDDEA must be obtained prior to start - REQUIREDLicense and Certification Requirements :
