Position Summary :
Our client is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Preconstruction Manager to lead the planning and estimating phases of commercial construction projects. This role is critical in shaping project success from concept to contract award, ensuring accurate budgeting, scheduling, and constructability analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the preconstruction process for multiple commercial construction projects, from initial concept through final estimate and handoff to operations.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and value engineering strategies.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and cost.
- Oversee the preparation of bid packages and procurement strategies.
- Conduct constructability reviews and risk assessments.
- Manage estimating team members and support their professional growth.
- Present project proposals and budgets to clients and executive leadership.
- Maintain historical cost data and market intelligence to inform future estimates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.8+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a preconstruction or estimating leadership role.Proficiency in estimating and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, Primavera).Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Deep understanding of construction means and methods, building codes, and market trends.Benefits :
