JOB OVERVIEW Job Title : Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Job Type : Locum Tenens Location : Pittsburgh, PA Service Setting : Hospital Operating Rooms + Outpatient Surgery Center (10 mins away in Cranberry, PA) Coverage Type : Clinical Only Coverage Period : 08 / 18 / 2025 Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule : MonFri; 10- or 12-hour shifts only; minimum 3 shifts / week; estimated 20 shifts / month COVERAGE DATES Start date August 18, 2025 (subject to credentialing) Ongoing need due to turnover vacancy PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics : Adults only Case Mix : Cardiac / Open heart (CABG), EP lab, TAVR, Watchman, complex neuro, complex thoracic, complex ENT, robotics, major vascular, general / colorectal, IR / CT / bronch, gynecology, urology, plastics, orthopedics, GI FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System : Cerner Office Equipment Available : Standard OR anesthesia equipment Specialty Backup Available : Yes; medical supervision provided Support Staff Available : Full team support; no solo work Reason for Coverage : Turnover Vacancy PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes Credentialing Timeline : 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered Rate : TBD REQUIRED PROCEDURES All general CRNA functions Flexibility with complex cardiac, neuro, thoracic, and other advanced cases preferred JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses : Pennsylvania license (not required to apply) Board : NBCRNA Certified DEA : Not required Certifications : BLS Experience : Minimum 1 year in specialty Other Qualifications : Must be willing to work 10- or 12-hour shifts (no 8s) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver anesthesia services at both McCandless and Cranberry campuses Work under medical supervision (no solo cases) Participate in a variety of advanced procedures as scheduled across surgical specialties
