Job description

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading day-to-day project delivery on behalf of the owner. This role serves as the primary client-facing representative for assigned projects, managing communication between the owner, design team, and contractors to ensure project goals are met. The PM oversees project schedules, budgets, and quality at a high level, keeping the owner fully informed and positioned to make timely decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the owner’s primary point of contact for assigned projects.
  • Manage and monitor project schedules, budgets, and cash flows.
  • Lead regular project meetings, ensuring clear communication between the owner, design team, and contractors.
  • Review contractor and consultant pay applications, invoices, and change orders for accuracy and alignment with budget.
  • Track project risks and report issues to Senior PM / Director as needed.
  • Eliminate conflict and strive for fairness for all project stakeholders through proactive communication and equitable decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly owner reports summarizing schedule, cost, and key decision points.
  • Ensure owner expectations are clearly defined and communicated to all project stakeholders.
  • Support development of project delivery strategies, including procurement schedules and risk management plans.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to Project Coordinators when assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field required (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of construction project management, consulting, or owner’s rep experience.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project communications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software.
  • Strong client-facing skills with ability to facilitate meetings and represent the owner’s interests professionally.
