Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Travel Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team on a temporary assignment. The technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate is experienced, adaptable, and comfortable working in diverse clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; report any technical issues promptly.Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy before submission for physician review.Document patient information and maintain accurate imaging records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure timely and accurate results.Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality policies.Provide patient education and support throughout the imaging process.Qualifications
Education : Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program.License / Certification :Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer ( RDMS ) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or ARRT(S) certification required.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital or clinic setting.Travel experience preferred but not required.Specialties : Experience in one or more of the following preferred : General, OB / GYN, Vascular, or Echocardiography.General Ultrasound
