Certified Diesel Mechanic / Trailer Mechanic

Starting Pay between $32-$36 / hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Maintenance Shop is under NEW MANAGEMENT!

PM Shift 6pm to 2 : 30am

Four Star Transportation :

_3502 Canal St, East Chicago, IN 46312

ASE certifications and DOT experience preferred

Essential Functions :

Truck / Trailer PM

Annual Inspections

Diagnosis and repair of engine, drive train, A / C, and transmission

Troubleshooting of electrical wiring and components

Repair / replacement of brake and suspension items

Experience in welding is preferred

Ordering parts for inventory and jobs on hand

Communicate with management and receive instruction

Communicate daily work in the form of repair orders

Upkeep of the shop and equipment

Other duties assigned by the management

Diesel Mechanic Requirements :

Professional Certification Preferred

Own tools required

Experience preferred

Experience in using diagnostic software is preferred

Valid CDL preferred but not required

Good communication skills are required including written communication
