Brown & Brown's Risk Solutions team is looking for a Senior Captive Consultant to join the team in Colchester, VT or remotely.

As a Senior Captive Consultant, you'll be a trusted advisor to our clients and internal resource groups, helping them navigate the complexities of captive insurance. This role is strategic and client-facing and your responsibilities will include :

  • Strategic Consulting & Client Engagement

Lead feasibility studies for prospective captive clients, including insurance program structuring for all lines of business, financial analysis, domicile evaluation and structuring complex risk transfer program opportunities.

  • Direct end-to-end captive insurance company formation and licensure initiatives.
  • Oversee and coordinate comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Develop and present tailored captive solutions.
  • Advise clients on optimal captive structures and risk financing strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on captive insurance.
  • Program Development & Management
  • Coordinate with captive management teams, actuaries, auditors, brokers, and TPAs.

  • Monitor performance metrics and conduct trend analysis.
  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Thought Leadership & Innovation
  • Maintain deep knowledge of global captive trends.

  • Contribute to the development of new service offerings.
  • Support the growth and professional development of teammates.
  • What You Bring

    We're looking for someone who has a deep understanding of financial accounting for insurance companies and combines technical expertise with strategic insight and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Experience : 58+ years in captive insurance industry.
  • Education : Bachelor's and / or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Certifications : CPA or CA strongly preferred; CPCU, ARM, ACI a plus.
  • Skills : Advanced knowledge of property and casualty insurance, strong financial, analytical, grammatical and presentation skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, excellent organizational, communication and relationship-building abilities, commitment to continuous improvement and education.
  • Pay Range

    110000 - 135000 Annual
