(Contract) Senior Frontend UX Developer

Type : Contract, per-project.

Location : Remote - within LATAM time zones (GMT-3 to GMT-5)

Availability : Contractor (40 hours per week)

What We Are Looking For

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Frontend UX Engineer for the development of new, as well as enhancement of existing applications. Applications include Command Center and related MFEs, plus other applications owned by our sister teams including Content Systems, Media Asset Management System (MAM), Content Management System (CMS), and Content Feeds Services (CFEEDS) and Revenue. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Javascript, React, CSS, Components Design and similar JavaScript-based technologies, strong experience working in highly technical teams and proven experience building solutions with AWS services, such as S3, Lambda, ECS and more.

Your Profile Responsibilities

Create and modify mocked versions of new UI screens using existing components.

Develop and update custom React and web components, including unit tests.

Apply responsive design principles to ensure seamless UX across devices.

Participate in code reviews and help guide junior developers in best practices.

Contribute actively to design and architecture phases for upcoming features and services.

Collaborate effectively with Product, Program Management, and QA teams.

Provide realistic LOE estimates during Quarterly PI planning, considering potential setbacks and constraints.

Prototype new technologies to reduce costs and improve engineering velocity.

Must Have Qualities / Experience

Deep experience in JavaScript and Node.js.

Strong knowledge of frontend development and common tools in the JavaScript ecosystem (frameworks, npm, etc.).

Familiarity with Redux, IDEs, RESTful APIs, Git repositories, TypeScript, version control tools, and deployment workflows.

Solid understanding of core frontend principles : modular components, hooks, lifecycle events, etc.

5+ years of software engineering experience.

2+ years developing frontend applications using React (or similar), Node, and Git.

2+ years building scalable, performant, and responsive web applications.

2+ years working with cloud-deployed applications (AWS / GCP).

2+ years of TypeScript experience.

Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively within a distributed team.

Nice To Have Qualities / Experience

BS or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience with web components and Lit HTML.

Experience with Go.

VOD streaming experience.

Release, DevOps, and CI / CD experience (GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, etc.).

Experience with micro-frontends.

Experience designing and building component design systems.
