About The Position

Job Title : Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Profession : Surgical Services

Specialty : Surgical Tech

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 4x10

Hours per Shift : 10

Experience : Minimum of 2 years required

License : CST licensure (NBSTSA)

Certifications : BLS (AHA)

Must-Have :

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Experience with vascular, transplant, ophthalmology, spine, robotic, and cardiac surgeries is ideal

Description :

Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties.

Tasks are carried out according to standards and policies to ensure quality patient care.

Experience required includes familiarity with diverse surgical procedures ranging from general surgery to specialized cases.

Candidates should possess the ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and on-call requirements.

Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.

Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes is necessary.

Charting experience with Epic is preferred.

Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

The ability to float to other locations may be required during low census periods.

Candidates must adhere to safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
