JOB DESCRIPTION :
An Agile leader responsible for coaching development teams on Scrum principles facilitating Agile ceremonies removing impediments and fostering collaboration to deliver high quality insurance products and value Key duties include conducting Sprint Planning and retrospectives managing the product backlog in collaboration with Product Owners ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies and facilitating communication to align stakeholders on project progress and goals
Core Responsibilities
Team Coaching Guidance
Coach development teams on Agile principles and best practices promoting self organization cross functionality and continuous improvement
Ceremony Facilitation
Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Daily Scrums Sprint Planning Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives to ensure effective team engagement
Impediment Removal
Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder the teams progress and productivity acting as a servant leader to the team
Backlog Management
Support Product Owners in managing and refining the product backlog to ensure it is well defined prioritized and ready for upcoming sprints
Stakeholder Collaboration
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the team Product Owners and other stakeholders to maintain transparency and alignment
Agile Adherence
Ensure the team adheres to Agile values principles and Scrum practices to deliver quality products and respond to changing requirements
Risk Compliance
Perform risk and issue management and ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures in line with enterprise standards
Key Skills Tools
Agile Expertise
Deep understanding of Scrum theory rules practices and various Agile methodologies like Kanban or XP
Leadership Communication
Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills to coach mentor and facilitate effective discussions
Problem Solving
Ability to identify and solve problems teaching the team to become better problem solvers
Agile Tools
Proficiency with collaboration and tracking tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Insurance Industry Focus
Industry Context
An understanding of software development life cycles within the insurance industry to better meet the needs of the team and business
Regulatory Environment
Awareness of industry specific regulations and the ability to ensure development aligns with compliance requirements
Preferred OutSystems knowledge if possible or low code no code
