American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in an acute care setting with night shifts and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with 11 L&D beds, 2 OR suites, 2 OB ED triage beds, and 32 postpartum bedsPatient population includes inductions, epidurals, walk-in and natural labors, water births, high risk antepartums, postpartum moms and babies, and women’s surgical casesStaff required to manage and titrate drips such as Oxytocin, Insulin, and Magnesium SulfateTelemetry monitoring available through OBIX and monitored by central monitor techs and ICU charge12-hour night shifts from 6 : 30pm to 7am, three shifts per week, with an extra two shifts every six weeksWork every third weekend and every third holidayStaff may be placed on call if not needed and must be available within 30 minutesFloating required within LDRP / Nursery, with potential to float to NICU or throughout the hospital for taskingEPIC EMR is used in this facility; experience preferredResponsibilities include caring for L&D, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patientsRN will circulate in OB operating rooms as neededCharge RN and house supervisor available, with surgical techs on site 24 / 7 and CNA support on some shiftsOB hospitalist and neonatal nurse practitioner are in-house 24 / 7Travelers must wear navy blue scrubs or hospital-provided scrubsOrientation provided for both L&D and mother-baby unitsMust provide two references : one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 years\n \n Requirements\n
Active NE or compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experienceCurrent certifications : BLS (AHA), NRP, and recent AWHONN Intermediate Fetal MonitoringMust pass a 90% open-book exam on orientation or contract will be terminatedDriver’s license required for verification of 50-mile residency radiusCandidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facilityCandidates may not be current employees (full time, part time, or PRN) of any CommonSpirit facility, including CHI and / or Dignity, within the past yearCompliance with fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient care areas\n Benefits\n
