Job descriptionConduct outpatient practice, examine, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic disorders, provide inpatient consults on a rotating basis Supervise residents and medical students Order and interpret appropriate tests; perform necessary procedures Follow-up appointments; monitor patient progress; adjust treatment plans; update records; provide referrals as needed Stay current with best practices, developments, and technology Clinically supervise inpatient PAs when on call Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings Complete patient encounter documentation and billing promptly Comprehensive healthcare coverage Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Complimentary parking 403(b) retirement plan, 457(b) deferred compensation plan Fully stocked physician lounge Two weeks CME Life insurance Discounted memberships at 70,000‑sq‑ft Health and Fitness Center
Gastroenterologist Wanted for LifeBridge Health in Maryland
LifeBridge Health is a $2B+ healthcare system with 13,000 team members, serving over 1 million patients annually throughout Maryland. We operate five main centers including Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, and Grace Medical Center. As a nonprofit teaching hospital, Sinai provides training for more than 140 residents and 400 medical students yearly.
Qualifications
- MD from an accredited medical school - required
- Board eligibility or certified in Gastroenterology, with successful completion of a formal GI fellowship program
- Maryland medical license without restrictions
- Current CDS license, DEA certificate, BLS and ACLS
- EGD / colonoscopy experience preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment
