About The Position

Join a growing Cardiothoracic Surgery program in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, Florida , as the second Cardiothoracic Surgeon in a leading hospital system. 📌 Position Overview

Location : Fort Lauderdale, FL

Setting : Inpatient & Outpatient (Clinic & Rounding)

Call : 10–12 days / month (including 2 weekends)

Patient Volume : ~20 patients / day

Team : Join as the second Cardiothoracic Surgeon in a collaborative, well-supported environment

EMR : Epic

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Perform a full range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures

Participate in clinic, hospital rounds, and surgical consults

Take part in shared on-call rotation (including emergency surgeries)

Support the continued development of the cardiothoracic program

Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care

Job Requirements

Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery – Required

Fellowship-trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery – Required

6+ years of relevant experience – Required

Florida medical license or license in progress – Required

Clean malpractice and licensing history – Required

J-1 visa candidates accepted – Must indicate at submission
