As a Registered Professional Nurse (RN), you will be an essential part of our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Your Responsibilities

As an RN, you will :

  • Standards of Practice : Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide competent nursing care.
  • Assessment : Collect relevant data regarding the healthcare consumer's health.
  • Diagnosis : Analyze assessment data to identify actual and potential health issues.
  • Outcomes Identification : Establish expected outcomes tailored to the healthcare consumer.
  • Planning : Develop and modify care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Implementation : Execute the identified care plan effectively.
  • Coordination of Care : Ensure seamless transitions in care delivery.
  • Health Teaching and Promotion : Advocate for health and safety within the community.
  • Evaluation : Assess progress towards achieving health outcomes.

  • Qualifications

    To thrive in this role, you should have :

  • Education : Graduation from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred. Current BCLS certification is required within one month of hire.
  • Experience : Foundational RN experience; 3-5 years in ER or ICU is highly desirable. We encourage all RNs to advance through our SPIRE clinical advancement program.
  • Licensure : Must be a licensed and registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.
  • Special Skills : Strong clinical skills and a commitment to professional growth.
  • Working Conditions

    This role requires :

  • Prolonged standing and walking.
  • Use of sight, hearing, and touch.
  • Exposure to infectious diseases and various health conditions.
  • Ability to assist with lifting patients ranging from 5 to 300 pounds.
